PPG is currently seeking Production Employees for our Temple, TX facility. This is a 2nd shift position (2:00 p.m. - 10:15 p.m.), with possible overtime and weekend work. 
 
PPG Industries offers a starting salary of $15.15 per hour, along with immediate benefits, progressing up to $18.93 over time.  There is an additional $1.00 shift differential for working 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up filling lines, load machines with tubes, cardboard cards/packaging labels and plastic blister packs, package tubes into boxes by hand or machine package tubes.
  • Hand fill line is portable and employees manually fill buckets.
  • Stack sealed boxes or buckets onto pallet and move to staging areas using pallet jacks.
  • Maintain machine at defined rates and standards and fix jams as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards at work area and complete squeeze outs of applicable tubes as needed.
  • Monitor and enter downtime reasons on Informance unit.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior work experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use computer programs, analyze data and participate in CPI projects.
  • Ability to differentiate between shades and colors of products.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership over an area of responsibility.
