Senior Cisco Engineer

Job Description:  Responsible for engineering voice, data and network systems for clients.  This includes implementation skills and support for a diverse client base.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Configure and support Cisco Internetworking and IP/Telephony systems;

·         Work with:  Cisco routers/switches; Data shapers; Protocol analyzers; VPN technology; Wireless; Firewalls; LAN/WAN technologies;

·         Work with current VoIP;

·         Work with Cisco AVVID products including:  Cisco call manager; Unity voice mail; Voice gateway; IPPC a plus;

·         May be required to work with:  MPLS; EIGRP; OSPF; RIP; BGP.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work on budget and on time;
• Systems design and administration;
• VoIP;
• Network and Routing Protocols;
• Call manager experience
• Troubleshoot skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two year degree in related technical area – four year degree preferred.
• Certifications must be completed within twelve months of employment:  CCNP; CcDP; CCVP preferred; Cisco IP Telephony Specialist preferred;
• Working knowledge of voice, data and networking systems.

• Timely and efficient implementations as evidenced by customer satisfaction;
• Creating productive communications between sales and project support resources;
• Completed client documentation immediately at the conclusion of the project;
• Responding to customer requests in a timely fashion.
